An Ode to Chipotle

So, my company did a Chipotle gift certificate giveaway contest. Basically, we had to creatively express why we wanted the gift card. Here's what we put together:

For another chipotle gift card competition, we had to write a little anecdote about why we love it.
My submission:

Why I love Chipotle:

Besides the fact that their food is delicious, I love Chipotle because their voluptuous burritos are big enough to last me two lunches; they are filling and they reheat to taste as fresh as served.

At Chipotle, I am treated like a queen (they make my burritos extra big and I am always greeted with a smile) because they know me by face (due to my frequent weekly visits).

Chipotle also has an app for the iPhone that I use to place my order. This allows me to jump the lengthy line and pick up my order quickly, right from the register.

Additionally, Chipotle serves beer. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to order any because I mostly eat there during my lunch hour, but the option of enjoying an ice-cold Corona with my piping hot burrito is heart-warming.

Despite what Sal thinks, Chipotle is the best fast-food Mexican place - trumping Moe's and Qdoba.

So, Venga is a relatively new fast food Mexican place on Victory Blvd., Staten Island. I drove past it a bunch of times, but today I decided I had to try it.

Pretty clean inside, the server was really nice, and the burrito was only $5! The chicken was good, the chile corn had a little kick to it - and it was just tasty overall. The only complaint I have is that there was a little too much rice.

A burrito includes: 12-inch flour tortilla stuffed with cilantro rice, pinto or vegetarian black beans, salsa, romaine lettuce, shredded cheese and sour cream. (And you can add homemade guacamole for $1.00)

I'd definitely go back. To view the whole menu, visit
